What makes a part worth stocking.

The bar a part has to clear before it earns a place on the shelf.

We're curators and creators. Some of what we sell we track down: uncommon parts from independent makers around the world, the kind the big catalogues skip. The rest we make ourselves, when the part we want doesn't exist yet.

Found or made, the bar is the same, and it's unkind: a part has to look uncommon on the street and on the bike, and it has to be right. Distinctive but badly made doesn't make the shelf. Correct but anonymous doesn't either. It has to be both.

Most of what we look at clears neither. The shelf stays short on purpose: every part on it is one we'd fit to our own bikes, and that's the only test that's ever really mattered.
